This past week I met my Hero Andre J, while doing a photoshoot for MetroPop together.
They shot Me, Annie, Erin,Dee and Ricky, Jimmy Fontaine, O' Neal McKnight, DJ Cassidy and a bunch of other people. It was alot of fun, I'm not used to being on that side of the camera though!
Thanks to Miriam's eyes and Sarah's lense we worked it out!! Can't wait to show y'all!

As I waited patiently in line, walked to the door lady, with my entourage of 8, got a no "extra guests granted" comment, (don't worry it was prejudice against fellow hipsters, it wasn't a color issue lol), Me and Miss Liz attempted again, this time we used the name of a Japanese woman our friend Pete(r) gave us, we got a side-eye since doorgirl was just telling me how she loved Missbehave and just saw me standing with Liz in front of her 20 minutes ago.
So I missed it, but My 3 fave peoples in the world, the ever so Gentlemanly Pete(r), the Chic and Handsome Cedric and The lovely Deidre a.k.a. Culture Snobette filled me in on a few tidbits but nothing beats this quote from Deidre:
She looked ok, long ass wavy yaki, pink dress (presumably wang). Poor things really lost her hearing, She kept fiddling with her hearing aide, It fell out like twice......She rocked it with her one good ear though.

I hate to say it but Dame's girl, did not do it for me this season. Although she's been a favorite of the Elle, Vogue crowd, I'm not exactly enamored by her collections. I think the best way to sum this up is to call it what it is a Soup, a little bit of everything.It seems like the design team was not on the same page if even the same room.
Loved: the Jumpsuit up top ( duh!) and these safari inspired dresses. I also enjoyed the Drapey dreeses below them, great to hide that tummy after I scarf down a a bowl of pasta!
You gets no love: These right these right here? I mean, there's like no structure to them? and the casting was a little off to me, yes Sessilee is a great model, but I would have loved to see her in one of the drapey dresses than this frock mess. and don't get me started on that Racel Zoe look-a-like
Our Favorite Moment: Uncle Andre was there!!!
The Verdict: I like collections to be cohesive and have an over all theme. Whatever this theme was, I didn't get it, maybe because I've already seen most of the trends in this show? If not for the Jumpsuit I'd look away. But who knows maybe your older rich sister may like it??Jumpsuit Count:2
BCBG S/S 09
BCBG always has fun pieces for every season. For Spring 09, it seems like the collection is a dream come true for me. The dresses, the jumpsuits, all scream Spring Breeze, and they're so effortlessly elegant without making you feel like you're doing too much.This is a collection I need in my Closet!!
Loved: The Jumpsuits!! I mean really Jumpsuits!! I own about 3, Cubannie does as well and our girl Serci at Funky Fanny's knows that I'm forever trying to pass by and get some more aditions.
The Tulip skirt dresses are also my faves, they look so light and breezy, and then there's something to be said about the color palette, the colors are so vibrant they look like shiny jewels.
Our Favorite Moment: Everything has POCKETS!!! YES! A dream!

New Complex Shoot
So about 3 months ago I spent a sweaty hot summer weekend making the studded bathing suits above for Complex, it was for an idea Spankrock had in the Contributing artist's issue. I think I remember the inspiration being Ghetto,Booty,Punk,Jamaican crazy girl....wow.
Well I made a couple of more attached below, I'm thinking, should I sell these?? It hurt my fingers making them and after awhile I lost a few defined lines in my fingerprints. Would you guys buy them and wear them to the club?? hahaha

Top Model Cycle 11...Transgender!
This is so cool! The 1st top model contestant in the shows history to be a Transgender. This story is getting amazing media play and praise from GLAAD. All I have to say is the other contestants are wack! These girls are straight up discriminating her! It made me pretty sick, it was like 5th grade bully hurtful type shit! Hello, your Mic'd you on camera fools! Yall just look crazy talking all that smack! Isis was born male and has not completely undergone the transformation to the femme fatale that she is but she feels she was a women right from jump. She was honest about it and if she feels comfortable in her own skin, thats says more than most insecure chicks! US Weekly Editor-at-Large, said some pretty nasty things about her, because he looks like he eats "fruit cakes" a few times a week, atleast. So liking the same sex is ok but its not ok to want to actually be the opposite sex? I think this diva ISIS is definitely going to pave the way for something special!!! Isis do the damn thang!
