FASHION FOOLS

Lately I've been troubled, uneasy even, several people have died in the fashion world in the last mere month and I'm feeling really unpleasent about it.
No, I'm not that girl that even though she never met the late YSL is now gonna try to buy anything with his name emblazed on it, or a girl who isn't gonna leave her room because Sadia Morrisson is not with us, or even that chick that everytime a Russian girl named Ruslana passes by is gonna loose it.
I'm not disturbed by their loses but more by people's reactions toward these tragedies. Can you guys believe I was in a showroom that shall remain nameless pulling clothes for a shoot when someone had the audacity to come in and try to pull clothes for THEMSELVES TO WEAR to one of the above's funerals???????????
Now please don't misunderstand this, I have dealt with loss from a very early age so I know exactly how that feels, and my first priority was never to try and stunt at someone's funeral.
It disgusted me, I'm appauled that I was in the presence of such ignorance and I just had to blast it out. I don't think I've ever been this angry, are people really this shallow??
To those ignorant no class people that not only delayed my ENTIRE DAY of appointments because they wanted to look fresh, I only wish that you wake the fuck up and realize that this shit right here, will all be gone, no one will notice that you have vintage Halston in your casket, hopefully they'll only be there because they actually gave a fuck about your trashy ass.

Our favorite New artist in one of our favorite NY staples. The Good The Bad and the Ugly, our favorite NoLita shop owned by designer Judi Rosen, has always been a favorite amongst me and my girls. Their jeans are one of the few that are actually cut for real women and not human pogo sticks. It was a delight when i saw on their myspace that Ms Santi White was adorned in our of their key summer pieces, the Working Girl shorts Jumper.

I had to document a few of the pics they have from Coachella, our former ATWG of the week Sarah Morisson has been documenting it all over at Missbehave Blog, but since Vogue likes to make itself larger than life it's nice to finally see they're showing some cute urban outfitters-americanapparel-vintage wearing girls some love. After all, not everyone walks the streets in Margiela heels.
American Vogue hardly ever showed love to my boo Jeremy back in the beginning, let alone any of the artists pictured above, it's cool to finally see them reaching out to the actual youth. American Vogue, has always been my least favorite of the Vogues, and Teen Vogue has too much of a Gossip Girl margin for me, You're styling Chanel tennis rackets with my favoriteY3's but then you want to talk to me about underage drinking????? or prom night abstinence???? maybe this little feature on the site can be a small step in a better direction for them??

somehow this bland character of the hills, whom i've loved for forever, has gotten the guts to start a clothing line. she even has a website to promote it: shoplaurenconrad.com and she's sold in a million stores across the country (exaggerated). the collection features jersey knit tops and dresses. thats it pretty much. the line is totally wearable, there's just nothing extremely exciting about it, i guess like her. i'm not sure how long she's been in school, but i would have hoped for a more challenging and creative collection. i'm sorry if this is being perceived as hating, but what makes her jersey knits so different from the next. her line is something you could see and get at target, or rave. which there is nothing wrong with, just don't overprice your clothing because you're from laguna beach. i am a fashion designer, studied it, and have a degree in this field. it sucks to see the mediocracy is accepted so well in the u.s of a. i hope this girl can step her game up in the name of fashion.

Guess that ladies don't love limited-edition sneakers quite as much as men do: Laces, a women's-only sneaker boutique at 252 Mott Street between Houston and Prince Streets, has said goodbye to the retail world. When we walked by the space earlier today, all the Nikes and Reeboks had been cleared out and a "For Rent" sign marked the glass storefront; their website has also been wiped clean. The shop lasted for a little over two years, which isn't terribly bad for Nolita.

I've been seeing Andre Harell alot lately, all over downtown, He comes into the restaurant I waitress at and has a few lemonades, rides his bike around mott street and has pretty much done well into meshing into the crowd and just being that cool older dude on the cute bike. But on this interview on New York Mag's lookbook,I was a little annoyed, I just don't like it when black people say, anything about Harlem and Fordham, when they live in a 12 million dollar condo in Nolita. But he does look cute in that sharp little vest.

Cavalli says that he will "add a dash of festivity and dreams" (translation: borderline glamour/ eurotrash with animal prints and metallics) to the H&M aesthetic and that there will be 25 women's pieces including lingerie and accessories.

A source close to the project told Page Six, "They have known each other for seven years, and Armani feels Beyoncé represents the glamor and glitz of the fragrance," which will hit shelves in September.
