I'm a little confused on how Coke is the new weed in Hip Hop. I mean growing up in BK, me and my friends never dreamed of skiing since it was so close to crack and that meant you were a crackhead and most likely licking rappers for a dollar.
Never did we want to take a hundred dolla bill and indulge, are you kidding me?? that's my jordan $$. Not to mention that it was wierd to be that kid that wasn't smoking weed and drinking Zima's. We never grew up on it in the hood, truthfully I didn't see Cocaine until I was well into my 20's and I kept hanging out with transplants that would think I was insane for smoking a blunt at a party. ( but then they'd ask me for a toke). I know lifestyles have changed now but how did it get a Hood pass?
If the hood didn't grow up on it, and only my out of suburban commrades get up on it, why are some of the hottest HIP HOP records are all about getting high on Coke?

I love Baltimore, it's given me awesome things like delicious Crab Cakes, the WIRE, Mo'nique and the appreciation to the extended ooooooohs and u's on every other word.
Truthfully I only went to Maryland once when I spent a hell bent weekend during Howard Homecoming a few years back. But I do have a litte B-more House obsession and an affliction to my new favorite young'un Rye Rye. She's got great style, she's cosigned by the best (MIA, Santo, Diplo, Blaqstarr), and she has the great B-more accent. I think I want her to be my new BFF

N*E*R*D* Video for "Everybody Nose"

The new NERD track has been around for a little while and from the gate I loved it! I thought and still think it is a step in the right direction (music wise) for the boys that have brought so much to hip hop and indie rock.

The video makes me wonder though... what the hell have these boys been doing since the last album!? I mean this is video is too much like what Cinespace and Misspaces started as for them NOT to have been frequenting these parties right?? Have they really been out like that or is that "scene" just that popular now and I don't even realize how many people are into it? Naah imma guess Pharrell has been club-hoping and hangin out in hipster club girl's room.

Too many cameos in the video to mention, you might recognize the main chick from the TI and JT video from a while back though. Laura London watch your back!
